Skip Tracing for DivorceDivorce is so hard and tragic for most couples. Indeed, few, if any, people who do not have prenuptial agreements who enter a marriage in the United States hope for let alone even consider the possibility that they and their lover will one day divorce. Yet, despite religion and culture or perhaps because of it, about half or more of all marriages sadly end in divorce throughout the USA each year. For some, the divorce process is simple and easy, but for others it becomes extremely complicated and difficult. When the latter happens, clients reach out to our skip tracers at the best private investigation agency in Edmond, Oklahoma, for assistance.

Skip Tracing as a Part of Divorce Private Investigations:

For many couples, by the time that one party wants a divorce both people tend to be ready for the split. However, this is not always the case. Our divorce private investigators see plenty of cases where one party wants the divorce to occur, and the other person refuses to cooperate. Whether the other person truly does not want to go through with the divorce process or simply wants to make the life for the other person more difficult, a failure to cooperate can make life hard on the other spouse. Fortunately, this is where our skip trace service comes in.

Our nationwide skip trace service can help our clients locate the other spouse. That way our process servers can deliver the court papers to the other party, so the divorce case can proceed. If unable to locate the other party, a plaintiff must get permission from the judge to serve the other spouse via publication. This requires the initiating spouse to post notice of the divorce proceedings in a legal paper like The Journal Record that most people nowadays never read. Nevertheless, it is a legally valid option for those for whom a skip trace service does not work, and the location of the other spouse remains persistently unknown despite the divorce private detective’s and client’s best efforts.

Skip Trace Services for Process Serving:

As noted above, our skip trace services are highly effective for locating missing people. Our private investigation agency in Moore has been in business for decades and has extremely high success rates at locating people who are trying to avoid the lawful service of process. Our team can take small tidbits of information about a respondent and use it to locate her/his/their most current address.

For about eighty percent of our clients, our private eyes successfully locate the absconding person the very first time around. If the skip trace results do not come back the first time without the most current address for the respondent, please do not worry! We will happily re-run it for you once a month for the next six months, if you just e-mail or text us and ask us to do so. This is yet another of the many reasons so many of our clients stay with us year after year.

Alternatives to Nationwide Skip Tracing for Divorce Private Investigations:

There are alternative methods to having one of our skip tracers or divorce private detective run a nationwide skip trace service for you. We do not recommend these tactics to most people unless skip tracing does not work, because they cost higher fees and/or can take more time to complete properly.

Service by Publication:

As mentioned earlier, clients who have zero luck with skip tracing can instead opt to serve the other party via publication. Once a judge authorizes that, the initiating party can proceed with the divorce process without formally serving the other person. This is certainly one option, but it requires months of publications special form which add additional expenses and time.

Post Office Box Checks:

When skip tracing only pulls up post office boxes without showing a known physical/911 address for our process servers to take the court papers to, then you can hire a social media private detective at our firm to go to the local post office where the defendant has the PO box and request to know the physical address associated with it. Just as with forwarding mail checks, we must first fill out a special form and provide it to the USPS workers. That way our Oklahoma process servers can know where to bring the paperwork to for the divorce proceedings.

Please note that this tactic does not work on privately owned companies like UPS, FedEx, or other places that offer post office boxes. They almost always have separate privacy policies and do not recognize the form the USPS provides. Clients would need a subpoena to obtain such information in this instance from privately owned businesses offering PO boxes.

Social Media Scans to Locate Place of Work and/or Residences:

Social media scans can also be an alternative to skip traces to locate missing people. Our private detective agency near me offers three distinct levels of them, which go from basic to advanced and then elite. Advanced and elite social media scans cost more than basic ones do, but they also tend to contain more helpful information. Our process servers and social media private investigators can target a person’s whereabouts during the process, if needed, to help locate places of work or specific towns and locations the person may be working at or might have moved to.

Forwarding Mail Checks:

Our divorce private detective can also go to the local post office where the respondent in a divorce or child custody case most recently lived. While there, they can complete a special form and get immediate access to any new address that the person filed with the post office . . . that is, if they made such a filing. Many people do not file for a change of address with the United States Post Office though, note our digital private investigators.

Other Methods of Service of Process for Evasive Divorce Defendants:

We mentioned earlier that service of divorce papers via publication is also a viable option. This is where the plaintiff goes and files the documents and publishes notice of them with a legal paper like we talked about above. The responding party usually never sees them and thus often does not respond, but that is just as well because that means the plaintiff is likely to receive all she/he/they want(s) and the divorce can finally proceed with or without the responding party’s authorization.

Other Legal Services for People Going Through Divorces:

There are also other additional services that our divorce private investigator can offer to help with divorce private investigations. These include, but are not limited to, the following:

Divorce Polygraph Examinations:

Lie detector tests for adultery and child abuse make excellent investigative tools. Many pre-divorce couples use these to find out if infidelity or child abuse occurred, among other important topics that demand the most clarity during marriages and the raising of children. These do not cost much, and our polygraph examiners can schedule polygraph tests for new and current clients quickly.

Surveillance Private Investigations:

Many people going through divorces also opt to hire a surveillance private detective to help them see whether their lover is cheating on them or is violating a court order regarding their kids. Our legal experts can follow them around to see where they are going and whom they are with. If we catch them out cheating or letting unauthorized people stay over at their homes without permission, we will be sure to take plenty of footage and will show it to our clients and their attorneys, if applicable.

Surveillance is an excellent way to get irrefutable proof of someone’s actions. If our cheating spouse private investigator catches a spouse sleeping over at their side piece’s home or making out with them, it will not look good for them. Judges and juries will not have much sympathy for married partners engaging in such illegal and highly inappropriate immoral behaviors. Having evidence of its occurrence could help with the division of assets, alimony, child custody, and more.

National Criminal & Civil Background Checks:

Does your spouse have a secret criminal history you knew nothing of? Does this individual have bankruptcies, judgments, liens, or other derogatory financial history that you should have had the opportunity to know about before settling with this individual, but your future spouse somehow failed to disclose it? Well, it is important and you need to know. This is where our social media private eyes and their comprehensive civil and criminal reports come into play.

You can hire the best private investigator from our firm to help you run these types of background checks on your spouse or potential romantic partner. We can obtain these for our client quickly and at a reasonable cost. This is indeed a popular legal service option with many benefits to divorcing clients who need divorce private investigations.
